Firstly I would like to thank you for inviting me to judge the Go South Cup which is a great honour to accept.
I owned my first Labrador in 1970 and ran in my first trial in 1973, subsequently winning over twenty field trials. I have qualified for the Retriever Championships seven times with three different dogs of two breeds (Labrador and Golden Retriever). My most succesful FT.Ch. Reffley Candy is the only Golden to qualify for the Retriever Championship for five consecutive years. I have also achieved winning the field trial handler of the year in the UK. Having judged my first field trial in 1978, I have been an 'A' panel judge for over twenty-five years. My judging has taken me across Europe including The International Working Test Championships twice and the Swiss Championships. At home I have judged for the IGL Retriever Championship and for the Kennel Club as well as most Field Trial societies. I have competed at the Game Fair and in 2015 enjoyed my third invite to judge there. In 2017 I set the course for the International Working Test at the Game Fair.
I am the president of the local utility gun dog society and one of the organisers of the annual Windsor Charity Test.
